Community Service

Request Student Volunteer Support

The University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry supports numerous community service projects, community outreach, and volunteer work. Our dental student volunteer efforts are through School of Dentistry-approved student organizations or the ENNEAD student volunteer organization. ENNEAD is a student led volunteer organization whose mission is to provide service to the underserved populations in North Carolina through dentistry. ENNEAD members include primarily dental students, but also dental hygiene and dental assisting students.

Because their educational obligations are primary, there is a limit to the number of ‘one time’ or ‘special events’ volunteer opportunities that our students can provide. As we look to better coordinate, enhance and improve our student volunteer initiatives, below you will find a student volunteer request form to complete and submit. Requests are required at least three months in advance of your project/event date. Once submitted, a member of the appropriate School of Dentistry¬†student organization or the Dentistry¬†in Service to Communities (DISC) program will respond within five business days, once reviewed. Please note that this request does not indicate a commitment to complete the requested project/event. If deemed appropriate and feasible, we will try our best to accommodate your request. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the DISC program or the student organization coordinators.

Download and complete the request form (here) and email it to CommunityServices@dentistry.unc.edu.
