General and Oral Health Center

Becoming a Patient

The GO Health Center is currently accepting new patients but every patient must be assigned to a research study.  To determine if you are eligible to be in one of our studies, we will provide a free screening examination.   This initial screening examination is free of charge.  We often need research patients with no dental problems as well as patients with dental problems.

In providing you with an assessment of your overall oral health we may recommend diagnostics such as radiographs and/or treatment, but they are not required for study participation. Should you decide to pursue these diagnostics or treatment recommendations there would be charges associated but these details would be discussed/presented to you after your free screening.  We are able, and glad to provide referrals to other dental and medical professionals as needed.

If you would like to schedule a free screening or get more information about our studies and whether you might qualify to participate please call us at (919) 537-3424.

Directions

The GO Health Center is located on the second floor of Old Dental Building in room 2040.  Currently we have construction going on all around us! The patient drop-off area is currently in the back of Brauer Hall.  If you come from the visitor parking deck you will be coming in through Tarrson Hall.  Directions follow below for both of those entrances into the school.

Directions from Tarrson Hall:   Enter the dental school through the main entrance in Tarrson Hall.  Take the elevator to the second floor. As you exit the elevator, turn left and then left again at the hallway and you will walk into Brauer Hall. Turn right and proceed down the long Brauer hallway. You will pass through a glass enclosed connector between the two buildings.  Once you enter Old Dental Building, our clinic is located immediately on your left.  For further directions about how to get to the dental school and a map of the buildings, please follow these directions.

Directions from Brauer Hall: (patient drop off circle):  Enter dental school through Brauer hall and take the elevators on the left to the second floor. As you exit the elevator turn right and then left. You will walk through the pediatrics department and then turn left to proceed down the long hallway.  You will pass through a glass enclosed connector between the two buildings.  Once you enter Old Dental Building, our clinic is located immediately on your left next to the dental research administration office.  For further directions about how to get to the dental school and a map of the buildings, please follow these directions.
