Dr. Phillips is a Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry. She received her Ph.D. in Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1976 and her M.P.H. in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina in 1990.

Tung Nguyen

Dr. Tung Nguyen

Dr. Tung Nguyen received his D.M.D degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2005. He received his Master's Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics in 2008 and joined the Department of Orthodontics as an Assistant Professor in 2009 after completing a year as the William R Proffit Teaching Fellow. His research interests include: orthopedic correction of Class III malocclusion using skeletal anchorage, development of 3-D superimposition tools and techniques, and 3-D evaluation of growth and treatment outcomes.

Beatriz Paniagua

Beatriz Paniagua

Dr. Paniagua is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry with active collaborations with the Computer Science and Orthodontics Departments at the University Of North Carolina. She received a BS (2003) and MS (2005) in Computer Science at the University of Extremadura (Spain) and a European PhD degree in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and University of Extremadura in 2010. She did her postdoctoral training at the Neuro Image Research and Analysis Lab at the University of North Carolina. She has always been interested in how computational sciences can be used to address biological questions, and that interest led Dr. Paniagua to cultivate a research background in statistical shape analysis applied to brain morphometry and cranio-facial morphology, deformable registration applied to shape, machine learning and image processing.
