Renate Soltmann, DDS, MS

Dr. Soltmann is an adjunct professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also maintains a private orthodontic practice in Raleigh, NC. In 1983, she earned her D.D.S. at the UNC School of Dentistry followed by her M.S. and Certificate in Orthodontics in 1985.

Dr. Soltmann has been involved in the care of cleft lip and palate patients for the past twenty years. Presently, she serves as an attending at the UNC Craniofacial Orthodontic Clinic and as co-investigator for "ARRA Supplemental Functional Outcomes of Cleft Lip Surgery." Dr. Soltmann's past research concentrated on oral maxillofacial radiology.

Dr. Soltmann is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Cleft Palate Association. She also serves as the co-president of the Triangle Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Women Dentists.
