Dr. Glenn Garland currently works as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry.
He earned his B.S. from Virginia Military Institute in 1975 and his D.D.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979. For 12 years, he served as chief dentist for the Virginia Department of Youth and Family Services and maintained a part-time private practice in Richmond, Virginia. In 1993, he completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He joined the UNC School of Dentistry in 1994.
Dr. Garland is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the American Association for Dental Research, and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
