OCIS currently supports new computer orders through the CCI contract.
For special orders that cannot be fulfilled through CCI, please use the special instructions below.
How to Order
Step One: Decide which MODEL you want to order by looking at the CCI website. (Note: We recommend the W series laptop or the tower model for faculty and staff working with or developing multimedia material or software requiring intensive processing, e.g. SAS. For regular office applications and using the EPR, a lower series laptop or desktop model should suffice. The X models offer a good alternative for travel due to their small profile and light weight.)
Step Two: Submitting your order. You must be an authorized ConnectCarolina e-Pro user to place the order. From the CCI webpage, click on the model you wish to purchase. Click on Buy Now.
If you have very specialized needs for computer equipment that cannot be met by purchasing one of the four CCI models, please use the following procedures:
Step One: Send a justification for your purchase by letter or email to David Rankin, director of OCIS, and Jackie Schroeders, director of financial affairs. In your justification, please state your specific requirements which cannot be met by one of the standard models.
Step Two: After the approval process, place the order with the computer vendor or contact OCIS for assistance with placing the order.

ConnectCarolina e-Pro users can order directly from the CCI Web Page. If the item you need is not listed, please follow Non-CCI instructions below.
Accessories from Other Vendors
Check the CDW-G or Staples website. You can order from CDW-G or Staples through ConnectCarolina e-Pro using your UNC account number. If you are unable to find the item you need, check to see if the manufacturer is listed as a vendor in ConnectCarolina e-Pro.
How to Order
Step One: Since the availability of printer/scanner models constantly changes, it is best to contact OCIS for help with selecting a model appropriate for your needs. Check CDW-G or Staples websites to see if they sell the item you are looking for. If you are unable to find the item you need, check to see if the manufacturer is listed as a vendor in ConnectCarolina e-Pro.
Step Two: Log into ConnectCarolina and place order through e-Pro.
You are responsible for placing orders for cables, toner cartridges, drums and paper for the printer. These items can be purchased from your usual office supplies vendor.
How to Order
Step One: Check available software list from UNC Software Acquisition office.
Step Two: Place your order. You must be an authorized ConnectCarolina e-Pro user to place the order. Go to software list on Available Software List. Click on Get Software and follow instructions for placing order.
Step Three: Pick up your order. You will be notified via email when the order is ready to be picked up at the House Undergraduate Library Room 033, and if you need to have CD-Rs for CD exchange.
