Endodontics DDS Program

The Department of Endodontics is involved in many teaching activities for the school’s DDS and post-DDS programs. The curriculum taught to DDS students teaches a biologic approach toward the treatment and prevention of apical periodontitis by using the latest in endodontic instrumentation technology. Dr. Peter Tawil, undergraduate program director, outlines that curriculum goal as educating and training all dental students in an efficient and research-based protocol to save the natural dentition.

The department also offers a Master of Science in Endodontics.

Our department faculty members also participate regularly as lecturers and speakers at Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programs to continue the education of practicing dentists. To see what current CDE offerings are available through UNC, click here.
