Description/Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this research investigation is to explore the impact of laser-mediated isotropic titanium abutment topography on peri-implant mucosa.

To be in this study, you must:
Be age 18-75 years.
Have 2 sites (edentulous or requiring extraction of hopeless dentition) requiring single tooth implants for restoration in split-mouth design.
Have natural teeth adjacent (at least unilaterally) to proposed site.
Be available for one-year follow up.
Be in good physical and mental health.
You should not be in this study if you:
Have untreated caries or periodontal disease.
Are unable to demonstrate adequate home oral hygiene.
Are a smoker within the past six months.
Have severe bruxism.
Have a history of bisphosphonate use.
