Orofacial Pain Clinic
What is orofacial pain?
Orofacial pain is a branch of dentistry concerned with preventing, evaluating, diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating pain disorders involving the mouth and face. The Orofacial Pain Clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry uses leading-edge health-care delivery to relieve pain and suffering. Our treatment services include:

Pain conditions managed by the Orofacial Pain Clinic include temporo-mandibular disorders (TMD); cervical musculoskeletal pain; neurovascular pain; neuralgias and neuropathic pain; sleep disorders related to orofacial pain; orofacial dystonias; and intraoral, intracranial, extracranial and systemic disorders that cause orofacial pain.
