UNC Craniofacial Center - April 5 Benefit Concert
Students, Alumni, and Friends, please join us this Saturday, April 5, for an event benefiting the Craniofacial Center. Local dance rock band "The Grateful Dads" will play at the Black Flower -- 517 W. Peace St. at the corner of Glenwood Ave. and Peace St. -- from 8pm to 11pm in memory of Peter Muse, a dear friend of UNC and the Craniofacial Center.
Peter passed away this January after a brief struggle with cancer. The Muse family has supported the CFC for years.
In his last email to Grateful Dads bandmates, Peter encouraged the band to play a concert in support of CFC. Now, in Peter's memory, the Grateful Dads will play to honor Peter and the Muse family, and to collect donations for the UNC Craniofacial Center (CFC - where cleft palate work is done).
As Peter said, “The UNC Craniofacial Center receives your donations and subsequently allocates ALL of these funds to needy families on a case-by-case basis. Dental students volunteer their time to M4S so there are no administrative costs affiliated with our organization - Thus, 100% of your contribution will go toward patient care, directly impacting the lives of children.” You are welcome to support us in that as well if you wish or just enjoy the music. Also, they have great drinks!
Donations can be made to https://secure.dev.unc.edu/gift/Default.aspx?s=689206093225875. When there, just select the School of Dentistry and the Craniofacial Center as below.
We hope to see you there for rock dance music you will recognize and like.
Thank you from the UNC Craniofacial Center, and the Muse family.
