Craniofacial and Surgical Sciences

The Division of Craniofacial and Surgical Care provides a diverse approach to treatment for patients with craniofacial or oral and maxillofacial conditions, including those with multiple or complex oral health problems.

An interdisciplinary team of faculty in craniofacial oral health care, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and hospital and special care dentistry lead the division.

The division works closely with the UNC Craniofacial Center, UNC Hospitals and the UNC/Wake County Health Department to provide oral health care.

Educational Programs

Supporting Orthodontics

The Division of Orthodontics has a variety of funds established in the Dental Foundation of North Carolina that sustain our educational, research and patient care programs. You can support and help ensure all patients have a chance for a beautiful smile by giving to any of the professorships, fellowships, or funds below.

Funds Supporting Professorships

Endowed professorships allow the recruitment and retention of the very best clinicians, educators and researchers in the field of orthodontics. Once endowed, they provide support for salary, research and other professional activities directed at fulfilling our mission.

Graduate Education Funds

Graduate education funds are used to support specialty education in orthodontics. One hundred percent of gifts to the graduate education fellowship funds is directed to support resident stipends and educational opportunities.
