Ms. Amy Stewart (More Detail)
Ms. Amy Stewart is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Dental Ecology at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She is known for her excellent and well-rounded skills in the dental profession, and for having over 15 years experience in administration, clinical and academics.
She graduated from Cal State University, San Bernardino with a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. She later earned both her B.S. and M.S. in dental hygiene sciences education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ms. Stewart routinely presents and consults on continuing education seminars for dental teams on local, state and national levels in fields such as ergonomics, spa dentistry, soft tissue management, antimicrobials and local delivery therapies, dental substances abuse, and cultural diversity.
Ms. Stewart is an active member of ADEA, ADHA, AADR, IADR, NPWA, the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Academy of Advanced Studies and is a lifetime member of UNC GAA. She has also published related articles and abstracts in professional journals.
Besides her professional expertise, Ms. Stewart's most priceless attribute is something all too rare in today's rushed world: she cares and shares, striving to prepare her students not only for the test, but more importantly for their patients.
