UNC DentistrE News

February 2, 2012

Dear Friend of the UNC School of Dentistry:

Those of us in NC, or at least those of us in the Office of Advancement, are having a hard time remembering it's actually winter here! With the unseasonably warm temperatures, we haven't needed our warm winter coats for a week or so now.

It's easy to remember that it's still winter, though, when you consider what's been happening at the school. Specifically, our fourth-year D.D.S. students receiving post-D.D.S. specialization matches were notified on Match Day just a few days ago. It was an exciting day here on campus as those students received the news of where they'll be performing their specialization residencies.

In upcoming events news, be sure to watch your mail between now and the first part of March for your Best of Dentistry Weekend invitation! You'll want to RSVP early, especially since space is limited at our Best of Dentistry Gala Dinner on Friday, April 27. Five-year cycle D.D.S. Class Reunion information is also included in the invitation for those whose classes are having reunions. Our CE department will also be offering three continuing education courses that weekend - two especially for dental hygiene professionals! It's bound to be an exciting weekend, so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as you can!

We hope after our last DentistrE-news you also marked you calendars for our UNC School of Dentistry Alumni Reception at the Hinman Meeting in Atlanta on Friday, March 23 and our 18th School of Dentistry Golf Tournament scheduled for Friday, April 13 at Finley Golf Course!

Want to set up a recurring gift to the school, or maybe guarantee your name on the Dental Sciences Building Donor Wall with a $5,000 contribution? Both can be done easily. Just click here to give online or contact our office (919.966.4563 or to discuss your giving options.

As always, we thank you for your continued support and your interest in the UNC School of Dentistry!

Best regards,

Tiffany Brannan
Director of Communications
