Dental Hygiene Programs
Dental hygiene education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers courses of study leading to a Certificate and/or a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association. The prescribed curricula provides a comprehensive educational experience to qualify students for the practice of dental hygiene in accordance with the current and changing demand for dental health services. The programs are designed to accommodate the varying special interests and career goals of individual students. Students in the Dental Hygiene program at the University of North Carolina have a unique opportunity to study dental hygiene at the state's only dental school.
A Bachelor of Science degree completion program is also available to individuals who have received a Certificate or Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from UNC-CH or another institution.
