Dental Hygiene Programs
Certificate in Dental Hygiene
The Dental Hygiene Program at The University of North Carolina is designed to educate and prepare dental hygienists for careers in a diverse and changing health care environment. Requirements for the Certificate in Dental Hygiene include courses in the basic, dental and dental hygiene sciences and prerequisite general education courses.
The Commission on Dental Accreditation, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Post-secondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education, accredits the program in dental hygiene.
