Dental Assisting

Dental Assisting as a Profession...…

The dental assistant is a responsible and valuable member of the dental health care team. A graduate from the UNC Dental Assisting Program is prepared for employment opportunities in general and specialty dental offices as well as in public health, hospital and dental school clinics. Many of our graduates continue their education to become dental hygienists. The demand for dental assistants currently exceeds the supply. The growth of the dental health field assures an excellent employment outlook for the future.
