Pediatric Dentistry Graduate Program
Curriculum - Research
Each graduate student completes several experiences focused on developing skills in scholarship and structured academic research. During the first two years, in conjunction with research protocol preparation, courses are completed in research design, biostatistics, scientific computing and research methods. Research may be undertaken in the School of Dentistry, the School of Public Health, the Dental Research Center, the School of Medicine, allied health or basic science departments or any of the many research institutions in the Research Triangle Park area.
The Department has a long history of excellence in research and scholarship. Many of the department's graduate student research projects have won awards and received national acclaim through publication in the dental literature.
